Or Emet’s High Holiday Plans Have Changed
In response to changing COVID circumstances, Or Emet has adjusted its programming for the 2021 High Holidays. With the goal of balancing the health and safety of our attendees with the desire to come together in person, our mix of virtual and face-to-face events has changed. The following programs will be led by Or Emet rabbinic candidate Eva Cohen:
- Rosh Hashanah: 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6. Virtual only. (Registration required)
- Tashlich: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7. In person. (Registration required)
- Kol Nidre: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15. Virtual only. (Registration required)
- Yom Kippur: 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16. In person and virtual. (Registration required for virtual participants)
When registering, please indicate which programs you would like to attend.
Yom Kippur services will be at the Sabes Jewish Community Center, 4330 South Cedar Lake Rd., St. Louis Park (directions: http://www.sabesjcc.org/directions.php) and over Zoom. Or Emet requires everyone attending services to mask and maintain social distance in all indoor areas of the JCC for the protection of children and others who are vulnerable. Please note: Plans are subject to change based on CDC and state guidelines.
Following the Yom Kippur service, a break-fast meal will be served outdoors under a tent on JCC property. (Registration required)
In keeping with High Holiday tradition, Or Emet welcomes nonperishable donations at all services.
