“Intro to Judaism Through a Humanistic Lens”: Rabbi Eva Cohen

Rabbi Eva Cohen of Or Emet, the Minnesota Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, will lead a three-session “Intro to Judaism Through a Humanistic Lens” course in Small Meeting Room 1 at Sumner Library, 611 Van White Memorial Blvd., Minneapolis, during the following dates and times:
- Sunday, Oct. 4, 3-4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 11, 3-4:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 18, 3-4:30 p.m.
For a full learning experience, participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions.
Sumner Library was built in 1915 to serve North Minneapolis’ Jewish community, and for a period of time housed all of the Minneapolis library system’s Hebrew and Yiddish books. Learn more about Sumner Library’s history.
Cohen received rabbinic ordination from the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism in May 2024. In addition to being Or Emet’s first rabbi, she also is the first Humanistic rabbi in Minnesota.
