SUMMARY:Shabbat Service | Program: “Building the Next Generation of Leaders: The YMCA Center for Youth Voice”
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, May 29\, from 7:30-9 p.m.\, Or Emet will host a Shabbat service led by Rabbi Eva Cohen followed by a presentation featuring James Farnsworth\, senior program director for the YMCA Center for Youth Voice (CYV)\, along with four student leaders. A social gathering will follow the program. \nThe event will take place at the Minnesota JCC Sabes Center Minneapolis\, 4330 S. Cedar Lake Road\, Minneapolis.  \nDuring the presentation\, Farnsworth and the student leaders will highlight CYV’s programs and share personal reflections on the importance of youth engagement in civic leadership. \nBased in Maplewood\, CYV is dedicated to strengthening Minnesota’s civic culture by helping young people understand the workings of government and empowering them to take meaningful action on issues that matter to them. The organization is grounded in the belief that democracy must be learned and renewed by each generation. \nThose unable to attend in person may join via Zoom.
